Haddaway, birth name Alexander Nestor Haddaway is a Trinidadian eurodance and house singer, born on January 9, 1965 in Trinidad and Tobago. His mother is Trinidadian and father is Dutch. When his parents separated, he lived with his father in Europe, later moved to his mother in the United States and finally settled in Cologne, Germany where he began his music experiments along with playing football, selling carpets and working as choreographer. His achieved his break in 1993 releasing his debut single “What is Love”. The song became a massive international hit reaching the top of the charts in Europe (France, Sweden, Netherlands, Austria etc.). He continued releasing his singles, and albums but he couldn’t repeat such success. Some of his other hits are “Life”, “I Miss You”, “Rock My Heart” and others.
