Zao is a metalcore band from Greensburg, Pennsylvania, US. The band is said to be one of the founders of metalcore genre. Daniel Weyandt, Scott Mellinger, Martin Lunn, Jeff Gretz are the current line-up. Their lyrics is devoted to God and they consider themselves a Christian group. The name of the band comes from the Greek word ζάω, which means “alive”. One of the band founder’s Eric Reeder called group’s music as “Christ-centered hardcore”. The band was formed in 1993 and since then they released 10 studio albums and some of them you can download in mp3 from our site. Zao collaborated with Creation is Crucifixion and toured with many famous bands like In Flames, Trivium, Evergreen Terrace and some others. In their discography they have two videos (My Love, My Love, The Rising End) and vinyl records The Ties That Bind and Treadwater.
