Zbigniew Antoni Kowalski (known as Zbiegniw Preisner) is a Polish composer. He was born on May 20, 1955 in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. He is famous for his work with Krzysztof Kieślowski, a world famous Polish director. He wrote soundtrack for his master-pieces Three Colors: Blue and Three Colors Red. Francis Ford Coppola noticed Preisner and hired him after these works had been released for writing soundtrack for The Secret Garden. The film was directed by another Polish Agnieszka Holland. Zbigniew Preisner has his own recording project “Silence, Night and Dreams” which was recorded with orchestra, choir and soloists. The first work of this Zbigniew Preisner’s project was released in 2007 and you can download it in mp3 from our site. During his music career he collaborated with BBC having written the main theme for a monumental documentary project People’s Century.
