A Belgian musical group Zap Mama was formed in 1989 by Marie Daulne who comes from the Republic of Congo and emigrated in Belgium. The band plays music in different styles as Marie likes to discover something new and to mix different things. They incorporated traditional African instruments in their music mixing it with Hip Hop and R & B. The band sings in French and in English with heavy African roots. As Marie Daulne sais the main target of the band is to build a bridge between Africa and Europe through the music. The group released 6 studio albums, they are Adventures in Afropea 1 (1993), Sabsylma (1994), Seven (1997), A Ma Zone (1999), Ancestry in Progress (2004), Supermoon (2007) and Recreation (2009) which you can download from our site in mp3. Zap Mama was a Grammy nominee for Best World Music Album for their album Sabsylma.
