American Celtic rock band Gaelic Storm was formed in Santa Monica, California, the United States in 1996. The band was formed by Patrick Murphy, Steve Wehmeyer, Steve Twigger and Brian Walsh when they united for performing in Irish pub and restaurant. The current band members are Patrick Murphy (accordion, spoons, bodhrán, lead vocals), Steve Twigger (guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, lead vocals), Ryan Lacey (djembe, doumbek, surdo, cajón, vocals, various percussion), Peter Purvis (Highland bagpipes, Uillean pipes, DegerPipes, whistle)and of Jessie Burns (fiddle, vocals). The band received high acclaim from the critics and they are known not only in the United States but abroad as well. The band has been touring in the UK, Japan, France and in Canada.
