Biography

Bad Company is an English hard rock band that was formed in 1973 by two former members of Free band, Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke. Later, Mick Ralphs (former Mott the Hoople guitarist) and King Crimson (bassist Boz Burrell) successfully joned the band. At this time, the group was managed by Peter Grant, who is well known as a former manager of Led Zeppelin. He would manage Bad Company until 1982. The band's current line-up consists of Free (Paul Rodgers, Simon Kirke), Mott the Hoople (Mick Ralphs), and King Crimson (Boz Burrell). The band rose to fame in 1974 with its first album, Bad Co, which peaked at number one on Billboard's Pop Albums chart . This album also produced two hit singles such as "Can't Get Enough" (which peaked at number 5 in the US) and "Movin' On" (which peaked at number 19 in the US).
