Biography

Badlands were an American blues-rock and hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, that was formed in 1988 by by former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee and former Black Sabbath members Ray Gillen and Eric Singer. The band also featured bassist Greg Chaisson. In 1989, they released their first album, Badlands, which featured Ray Gillen and Eric Singer, who previously played together in Black Sabbath. It also yielded the singles, "Jade's Song", "Winter's Call", "Dancing on the Edge", "Streets Cry Freedom", "Hard Driver" and "Rumblin' Train". The band picked up Jeff Martin, former vocalist for Surgical Steel and Racer X to take over on drums Their next album, Voodoo Highway, was released in 1991.
