Biography
Battlefield Band is a Scottish traditional folk rock music group that was founded in 1996 and currently consists of Alan Reid (keyboards, guitar, vocals), Alasdair White (fiddle, tin whistle, banjo, bouzouki), Mike Katz (Highland pipes, small pipes, various whistles, bass guitar) and Sean O'Donnell (vocals, guitar). They achieved international success with their hit singles including "Farewell to Nova Scotia", "The Bonny Whaling Laddie", "The Back O'Benachie", "The River" (Words Alan Reid, Music Alan Reid/John McCusker), "The Rovin' Dies Hard" (Brian McNeill), "The Yew Tree" (Brian McNeill), "Christ Has My Hart Ay", "Frideray" (Dougie Pincock& Alan Reid) and "Happy Daze" (John McCusker) among others.
