Bewitched is a Swedish black metal and thrash metal band that was formed in 1995, by Vargher (Throne of Ahaz, Ancient Wisdom, Havayoth, Naglfar, The DoodleTown Pipers) and Blackheim (Katatonia, Diabolical Masquerade, Bloodbath, The Five Neat Guys). At the beginning, they worked without any backup from a record-label. They independently wrote music, lyrics and recored tracks. In 1995, they signed with the Umea-based UMT-studio. After this deal, they began recording their debut album, Diabolical Desecration. After only three days the album was ready. They sent out Diabolical Desecration to various record-labels and caught the attention of Osmose Productions. And they quickly signed to this record label. To support their debut album they toured.
