Biography

British rock band Big Country was formed in 1981 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. Originally the band composed of Stuart Adamson (vocals/guitar/keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar/mandolin/sitar/vocals), Tony Butler (bass guitar/vocals) and Mark Brzezicki (drums/percussion/vocals). The final line-up was almost the same except for Adamson who had died before. The band’s last album was released in 1999. Later they formed once again in 2007 and ceased to exist. The last material of 2007 was released under the name BUTLER BRZEZICKI WATSON. In total, the band released 8 studio albums. The debut one titled “The Crossing” was released in 1981 and became quite popular. The album was certified Gold in the US and in UK.
