Biography
American reggae group Big Mountain was formed in San Diego, California, the United States in 1991. The original band members were Quino (vocals and guitar), Jerome Cruz (rhythm guitar), Gregory Blakney (percussion), Lance Rhodes (percussion), Manfred Reinke (keyboards) and Lynn Copeland (bass guitar). During its career, the band has released ten albums and eight singles. Their biggest success was in 1994 when they released a single “Baby, I Love Your Way”. It charted very well, reaching number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 2 on the UK singles chart. This song was also included in the soundtrack for the movie Reality Bites. The next their single, which could chart was “Sweet Sensual Love”. It reached number 51 and number 80 in the UK and in the US respectively.
