Biography
American rock band Big Star comes from Memphis, Tennessee, the United States and was formed in 1971. The original line-up included Alex Chilton, Chris Bell, Jody Stephens and Andy Hummel. After releasing three albums without commercial success, the band broke up in 1974. Nevertheless, they decided to reunite with renewed line-up. 1993 saw the band active again. The current band members are Jon Auer (guitar, vocals), Alex Chilton (guitars, vocals), Jody Stephens (drums, vocals) and Ken Stringfellow (bass, vocals). Despite their commercial bad luck at the first active period, the first three albums are considered very influential on the contemporary music. Rolling Stone included #1 Record, Radio City and Third/Sister Lovers in the list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. You can download these albums by Big Star in mp3 from our site.
