Billy Bragg, birth name Stephen William Bragg is an English singer-songwriter and rock musician born on 20 December 1957 in Barking, England, UK. He is famous for his solo career. He has released 12 studio albums and quite a number of singles and extended plays. Some of his popular singles are "She's Leaving Home" (number 1 on the UK Singles chart), "Sexuality" (number 2 on US Modern Rock Tracks chart), "We Laughed", "Take Down the Union Jack" and some others. He has released two Gold albums - Life's a Riot with Spy Vs Spy and Don't Try This at Home and two Silver ones - Brewing Up with Billy Bragg and Talking with the Taxman about Poetry. During his career, he has collaborated with Florence and the Machine, Kate Nash, Johnny Marr, members of R.E.M., Wilco, Less Than Jake and others. His songs raise political or romantic themes.
