American country music artist William Wendell Gilman III, known as Billy Gilman was born on May 24, 1988 in Hope Vally, Rhode Island, the United States. He began his music career at a very early age. When he was nine, he was noticed by Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel. Gilman was signed to Epic Records Nashville and began his career. When he was only 12, he released his debut single “Once Voice”. The song reached number 20 on the Hot Country songs and number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 making Gilman the youngest artist to hit Billboard Top 40. The debut album One Voice was very popular and was certified 2 x Multi-Platinum reaching number 2 on the Top Country Albums and number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
