Biography

English rock band Black Sabbath comes from Birmingham, England. It was formed in 1969 by Ozzy Osbourne (lead vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Terry "Geezer" Butler (bass), and Bill Ward (drums and percussion). The original band’s name was Polka Tulk Blues Band, later it was changed to Earth. The band intended to be a heavy-blues band but later they moved to darker imagery writing lyrics inspired by black magic. Thus Black Sabbath was born. The band rose to prominence in their home country in 1970 releasing their debut effort Black Sabbath. The next album Paranoid (1970) was a beginning of their set of platinum records which would be released later (Master of Reality, Black Sabbath Vol.4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and others). Some of the bands most popular songs are “Paranoid”, “Iron Man”, “Electric Funeral” and “War Pigs”. You can download Black Sabbath’s Greatest Hits in mp3 from our site.
