Tiffany Cobb, better known under her stage name Blu Cantrell was born on March 16, 1976 in Providence, Rhode Island, the United States. She is an American soul and R&B singer who rose to fame in 2001 with her debut album So Blu. Before beginning her solo career, Cantrell performed as a backing vocalist for Puff Daddy and collaborated with other various artists including Usher, Dionne Warwick, Terry Lewis and others. Cantrell could sign a contract with Arista Records in 2001 and she released her debut album the same year. So Blu appeared in the mainstream success and peaked at number 8 on the Billboard 200. Her next and the last album to date is Bittersweet, released in 2003. The album was more worldwide success with minor hits in America. She earned a Grammy nomination for this album.
