Biography
American rock band Blues Traveler from Princeton, New Jersey, the United States was formed in 1987. The band consists of John Popper (singer, harmonica virtuoso), Chan Kinchla (guitarist), Tad Kinchla (bassist), Brendan Hill (drummer), and of Ben Wilson (keyboardist). The original bassist Bobby Sheehan died in 1999 from drug overdose. The band is known for their improvisations during live shows, but the mainstream public knows them for their two hit singles “Run around” and “Hook” which made the band to be popular in 1994. These tracks featured their album Four and “Run Around” earned even a Grammy Award. But later the band entered the times of trouble. The death of their bassist and Popper’s struggle with obesity ended the band’s success. They were dropped by their label.
