Boards of Canada are a Scottish electronic music duo formed in 1987 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The duo composes of Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin. The band’s name was taken from National Film Boards of Canada documentary. The band has released five studio albums, and quite a number of singles and extended plays. They appeared on Radio and TV including BBC Radio 1. They are known for making remixes, and featuring soundtracks for commercials. The first more or less commercially successful release is their album Music Has the Right to Children. The album was released to critical acclaim and it has become the first band’s album entering the chart. The album peaked at number 193 on the UK Albums chart.
