Bobby McFerrin, birth name Robert McFerrin Jr. is an American jazz and reggae musician, singer-songwriter and conductor, born on March 11, 1950 in Manhattan, New York, the United States. He was born in a musical family as his father was an opera singer and his mother was a singer as well. Since his childhood, he has been interested in music as well and was playing clarinet, and piano. He released his debut self-titled album in 1982. His next album The Voice has become the first jazz album recorded a capella. He reached the international fame with a song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” which was released a single in 1988. The song was a massive international hit and won three Grammy Awards in nominations Song of the year, Best Pop Vocal Performance, male, and Record of the year.
