Biography
American blues singer-songwriter Bonnie Raitt, birth name Bonnie Lynn Raitt was born on November 8, 1949 in Burbank, California, the United States. In her music Raitt incorporated elements of rock, folk and country. During her career she received nine Grammy Awards and she was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2000. She is also a political activist and the founding member of Musicians United for Safe Energy. The peak of her success in music career was during the end of 1980s the beginning of 1990s when she released three consecutive multi-platinum albums – Nick of Time, Luck of Draw and Longing in their Hearts. The albums spawned many singles including I Can’t Make You Love Me, Something to Talk About, Thing Called Love and many others.
