Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist Bruce Cockburn, birth name Bruce Douglas Cockburn was born on May 27, 1945 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He has established himself as one of the most popular and outstanding Canadian musicians. For his contribution to music, Cockburn was made a Member of the Order of Canada. He was also inducted in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and in the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame. He received his first popularity in the beginning of the 1970s, though his first real break happened in 1979 when he released his hit single "Wondering Where the Lions Are". The single featured his album Dancing in the Dragon's Jaws. He topped Canadian chart only one with his song "Fascist Architecture (I'm Okay)". Some of his other hits are "Lovers in a Dangerous Time", "People See Through You", "A Dream Like Mine", "Somebody Touched Me" and others.
