Biography

Buzzcocks are an English punk rock, pop punk and new wave group that was founded in 1976. The group's current line-up consists of Pete Shelley (guitar, vocals), Steve Diggle (guitar, vocals), Tony Barber (bass) and Danny Farrant (drums). They are often considered as one of the most influential bands on the Manchester punk rock and power pop music scene. They rose to fame in 1978 with their debut hit single, "I Don't Mind", reached number 55 on the UK Singles Chart. At the same year, they released their first record, Another Music In A..., which reached number 15 in the UK. The album's other singles were "Love Battery", "Sixteen", "Fiction Romance" and "Autonomy". This record also received mainly positive reviews from critics.
