Scottish-Australian musician Colin Hay, birth name Colin James Hay was born on June 29, 1953 in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, Scotland. At the age of fourteen he moved to Australia with his family. In 1978, he met Ron Strykert and they began playing acoustic music together. Later they extended their line-up till the full-size band and thus they founded Men at Work. The band released their debut album in 1981 but broke up in 1985. Hay continued his music career and became a solo artist. His style can be describes as rock, pop, country, new wave and acoustic. He has released ten solo albums but he hasn’t released any commercial and mainstream success. He has founded his own recording label Lazy Eye Records naming it after his own lazy eye condition.
