Biography
Courtney Love is an American alternative rock, punk rock and post-grunge musician and actress. She was born on July 9, 1964, in San Francisco, California, U.S. In 1989, she formed Grammy nominated American alternative rock band Hole. During this period, she befriended many figures in the alternative rock scene, including Michael Stipe of R.E.M. and Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins. She is also well known for her marriage to the late Nirvana singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain. She achieved mainstream success as a solo singer in 2004 with her debut album, America's Sweetheart, produced several singles such as "Hold on to Me" and "Mono".
