Biography
Creedence Clearwater Revival (also well known as CCR) were an American rock, roots rock, country rock, rock and roll and Southern rock band that was founded in 1967. The group's members were John Fogerty (lead vocals, lead guitar, harmonica, keyboards, saxophone), Tom Fogerty (rhythm guitar, backing vocals, piano), Stu Cook (bass guitar, backing vocals, keyboards) and Doug Clifford (drums, percussion, backing vocals). They achieved international success in the late 1960s with their number one album, Green River, produced several smash hits such as "Bad Moon Rising", "Green River/Susie Q" and "The Night Time Is the Right Time". This record also received three platinum certifications. The album's lead single, "Bad Moon Rising", reached number one on the UK Top 40 Singles Chart and number two in the US.
