Danny Elfman, birth name Daniel Robert Elfman is an American composer, singer, record producer and actor born on May 29, 1953 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. He is of Jewish and American origin. Elfman is the leader of the rock group Oingo Boingo where he acts as singer-songwriter. He is also famous for being music composer for TV series and films. During his career, he has was nominated for four Academy Awards and won Grammy Award (Tim Burton’s Batman) and Emmy Award (Desperate Housewives theme). Some of the main his works for TV are The Simpsons, Tales from the Crypt, The Flash, The New Batman/Superman Adventures, Point Pleasant and others. He wrote soundtracks for such films as Milk (received Oscar nomination), Spider-Man and all its sequels, Men in Black (I and II), Hulk, Big Fish, Wanted, Good Will Hunting (Oscar nomination).
