Biography

Danzig is an American heavy-metal group formed in Lodi, New Jersey, United States, in 1987 by singer and composer Glenn Danzig. He was joined by John Christ and Chuck Biscuits (ex Black Flag) and the band began to record their debut album which was released in 1988. The album featured the only hit single from the band, namely the song “Mother”. It’s another version which was released on the third band’s album Thrall: Demonsweatlive became massive hit on MTV and the band reached the mainstream success. Right now the band consists of Glenn Danzig, Tommy Victor, Johnny Kelly and of Steve Zing. The next Danzig album is planned for 2009.
