Biography
German dark wave band Das Ich was formed in Bavaria, Germany in 1989. It composes of two main members and founders Stefan Ackermann (lead vocals and lyrics) and Bruno Kramm (music, back vocals). Other band members join the band only during live shows. The band's style can be describes as dark wave, electro industrial and neue deutsche todeskunst. Neue DeutscheTodeskunst (New German Death Art) was a musical trend in Germany during the nineties. Das Ich has added a lot to this movement and are usually associated with it. The band’s name Das Ich is connected with Freud’s concept and stands for “ego”. The band has released many albums and they are considered to be a prolific act.
