American jazz pianist, bandleader, composer and arranger Dave Brubeck, birth name David Warren Brubeck was born on December 6, 1920 in Concord, California, the United States. He has become one of the most famous “cool jazz” or Californian jazz representatives of 1950s-60s. His band The Dave Brubeck Quartet was formed in 1951. Other members were Paul Desmond, Ron Crotty and Cal Tjader. One of the main quartet’s albums was Time Out released in 1959. The album quickly went Platinum; it featured such tracks like “Take Five”, "Blue Rondo à la Turk", and "Three To Get Ready". The quartet disbanded in 1967 allowing Brubeck to focus on longer orchestral and choral compositions. You can download Dave Brubeck Quartet’s Platinum album in mp3 from our site.
