Dave Matthews Band is an American alternative rock and jazz fusion band that was formed in 1991 and currently comprises singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Matthews, bassist Stefan Lessard, violinist Boyd Tinsley, and drummer Carter Beauford. In 1994, they released their breakthrough debut album, Under the Table and Dreaming. It yielded several hits such as "What Would You Say" (featuring John Popper on harmonica), "Satellite," and "Ants Marching". The band achieved mainstream success in 1996 with their second album, Crash, which produced five hit singles, "Crash into Me", "Too Much", and "Tripping Billies", "So Much to Say" and "Two Step". The album's lead single, "Crash into Me", reached #7 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart. This song has been covered by various artists including Stevie Nicks.
