French classical writer Honore de Balzac was born on May 20, 1799 in Tours, France and died on August 18, 1850 in Paris, France. He is considered to be one of the founders of realism in European literature. His works are considered to be world classics and hу inspired aтв influenced many other writers including Charles Dickens, Emile Zola, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Henry James, William Faulkner, and many others. Some of his works were put on screen. Balzac was creating La Comedie Humaine, a great work combining many separate stories that would depict and reflect all the peculiarities of life in France after the fall of Napoleon regime. Some of the most notable stories from La Comedie Humaine are Le P?re Goriot, Eug?nie Grandet, Le colonel Chabert and many others.
