Biography
Doro is a metal band, which was transformed from Warlock, another metal act. The Doro’s founder and leader is a German female metal vocalist Dorothee Pesch, born on June 3, 1964 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Doro was one of the few female vocalists on the metal scene throughout the 1980s. Warlock’s line-up wasn’t stable and when Doro remained the only one original member she decided to rename the band. The current members are Doro Pesch – vocals, Nick Douglas – bass, Johnny Dee – drums, Bas Maas – guitar and Harrison Young – keyboards. Doro has released quite a number of albums. The last one is Fear No Evil, which was released in 2009. Some other of the band’s albums are Force Majeure (1989), Rare Diamonds (1991), Angels Never Die (1993), Love Me In Black (1998), Calling the Wild (2000) and others.
