Biography

Falco (born Johann (Hans) Hölzel; 19 February 1957 – 6 February 1998) was an Austrian pop and rock musician. He quickly gained popularity in 1982 with his commercially-successful album, Einzelhaft, which was released in Austria, Germany, the United States, Japan, Spain, Italy, Canada, Sweden and Finland. The album achieved success with its flagship single, "Der Kommissar", an innovative and influential German-language rap song. An English version of the song by After the Fire was a hit in 1983. The album's other singles were: "Ganz Wien", "Der Kommissar" and "On The Run/Maschine Brennt". And now, you may download Falco's breakthrough first album, Einzelhaft, in mp3 from our site. He also had four number one hits, "Der Kommissar," "Rock Me Amadeus," "Jeanny," and "Coming Home (Jeanny Part 2)." With "Rock Me Amadeus" he is the first and so far only artist to score a number one hit in the U.S. with a German language song.
