British rock blues band trio Firebird was formed in 1999 by Bill Steer. Bill had played before in such groups like grindcore Napalm Death and death metal Carcass. Though it would be quite natural that Firebird’s sound looks like any of these groups, it’s quite the opposite. Firebird incorporated sounds of the seventies rock bands and you can compare them with such band like Cream. Apart from Bill (vocals, guitar, harmonica) the group consists of Smok Smoczkiewicz (bass guitar) and Ludwig Witt (drums). The band had quite many members come and go but Steer’s distinctive vocal and guitar play could keep the band. Firebird released 5 albums including No.3 which you can download from our site in mp3. Firebird’s other albums are Firebird, Deluxe, Hot Wings and Grand Union. The band is currently touring around the UK and plans to record their next album.
