American country and Western music singer, songwriter, musician, actor and businessman Gene Autry, birth name Ovron Gene Autry was born on September 29 in Tioga, Texas and died on October 2, 1998 in Studio City, California. He was known as The Singing Cowboy and appeared in many radio and television programs. Later his business would be connected with media as he owned several radio stations and television station in Southern California. Baseball team Los Angeles Angels belonged to him as well. Autry is the only person to have five stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Being a singer his most popular songs are Christmas-related ones - Here Comes Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman and the biggest hit is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
