Geri Halliwell, birth name Geraldine Estelle Halliwell is an English singer, songwriter, author and philanthropist born on August 6, 1972 in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. She became an international star as a part of the girls group Spice Girls that was very popular in 1990s. As all members had monikers, Halliwell was known as Ginger Spice or Ginger and Sexy spice. She left the group in 1998 and her leaving was surrounded by rumors taking into account that many people even considered her group’s leader. She began solo career in 1999 and released the debut album Schizophonic. The album has become the most successful one in her career reaching 2 x Platinum status. It produced two of her four number one singles in the UK, namely “Mi Chico Latino” and “Lift Me Up”. The other two top singles are “Bag It Up” and “It’s Raining Men”.
