Gioia (birth name Carmen Gioia Bruno) is an Italian dance-pop, house, adult contemporary, club and dance music singer and songwriter. She was born on June 11, 1963, in Bari, Italy. She came to prominence as a lead vocalist of the American pop and dance music band Exposé. This act is well-known for a collection of the hit singles such as "Let Me Be the One", "Seasons Change", "What You Don't Know", "When I Looked at Him" and "Tell Me Why" among others. In the late 1990s, she decided to concentrate on her own music career. As a result of such decision, she released her commercially successful album, Expose This, which spawned several hit singles including "Be Mine", "I Was Made for Loving You", "Happy", "Incredible" and "Every Little Thing".
