Biography

American traditional country, punk and metal musician Hank Williams III or Shelton Hank Williams was born on December 12, 1972 in Nashville, Tennessee, the United States. He is a grandson of the country legend Hank Williams and a son of Hank Williams Jr. He began his career in punk and metal and was playing in such bands like Superjoint Ritual, a project created by Pantera’s vocalist Phil Anselma. Williams played bass there. He was a drummer in the Southern hardcore punk band Arson Anthem and currently he is a member of the punk metal band Assjack. At the same time he releases his traditional country recordings. The debut album Three Hanks: Men With Broken Hearts was released in 1996. The seventh album Rebel Within came out in 2010.
