Biography
Austrian composer Franz Joseph Haydn was born on March 31 1732 in Rohrau, Austria and died on May 31 1809 in Vienna Austria. He is one of the most important, outstanding and famous composers of the classic period. He is considered the founder of such genres like symphony and string quartet. In addition, he helped to develop piano trio and sonata form. He was working as a freelance musician for some time, later worked as Kappelmeister at Estherhazy family. They were one of the most important and wealthiest clans in Austro-Hungarian Empire. He worked there for almost 30 years and wrote most of his famous compositions there. His popularity was rising through the years. Haydn and Mozart are known to be friends while Haydn and Beethoven didn’t get well with each other.
