Head Automatica is an American powerpop, electropunk and dance-punk band that was formed in 2004 by Jim Greer (keyboards), Brandon Arnovick (guitar) and Craig Bonich (guitar), Daryl Palumbo (vocals), and currently consists of Daryl Palumbo (vocals), Craig Bonich (guitar), Jarvis Holden (bass), Sammy Siegler (drums) and Jessie Nelson (keyboards). The beginnings of the band stemmed from singer Daryl Palumbo's interests in the hip hop and Britpop genres. Palumbo felt that the material that was inspired by these genres did not fit into Glassjaw's spectrum and so Head Automatica was created to showcase this. The band's debut album, Decadence, was released in 2004. Charting on the Billboard Magazine top 200 albums and Top Heatseekers charts, the album was the brainchild of Palumbo. This album also spawned the singles, "King Caesar", "The Razor" and "Dance Party Plus" (feat. Sherri DuPree, Stacy DuPree and Tim Armstrong).
