Biography

American classical vocalist Mezzo-Soprano Jackie Evancho, real name Jacqueline Marie Evancho was born on April 9, 2000 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the United States. She finished second the fifth season of the TV show America’s Got Talent. During the show she performed "O mio babbino caro" (Giaccomo Puciini), "Time To Say Goodbye" (Andrea Bocelli), "Pie Jesu" (Andrew Lloyd Webber), "Ave Maria (Charles Gounod)”. In 2009 she released her independent album Prelude to a Dream. The album reached number 121 on the Billboard 200, number 2 on the US Top Classical Albums. Afterwards she signed a deal with Columbia Records and released her first studio album “O Holy Night”. The album became a real hit, it was one of the best sellers on Amazon.
