American guitarist, singer, songwriter and actor Jerry Cantrell, birth name Jerry Fulton Cantrell was born on March 18, 1966 in Tacoma, Washington, the United States. He is known best of all as a member of the famous grunge band Alice in Chains. Cantrell is their lead-guitarist, co-lyricist, backing vocalist and co-vocalist. Cantrell is known for his other projects including solo career. He has released two solo albums. The debut one Boggy Depot came put in 1998. Degradation Trip is his second album. This release came out in 2002 and it’s devoted to Layne Stanley, Alice In Chains lead vocalist who died shortly before the album’s release. Cantrell is known to be founding member of a supergroup Cardboard Vampyres. He also made guest appearance on the Metallica’s album Garage, Inc and played with Nickelback.
