Jim Reeves, also known as Gentleman Jim (real name is James Travis Reeves) born August 20, 1923, died July 31, 1964 was a popular American country singer who gained his popularity internationally. He's considered to be a legend and inducted in the Country Music and in Texas Music Hall of Fame. He was very famous in the UK and in 1966 he could be the first over the Beatles in the UK charts. His fame lived even in Sri Lanka, India and in South Africa where he recorded several albums in Afrikaans. His major hits are He'll Have to Go (in collaboration with Joe Allison), Four Walls, Adios Amigo, Welcome To My World, Silver Bells, Blue Christmas and many others.
