John Fogerty (birth name John Cameron Fogerty) is an American country rock, blues rock and roots rock music singer, songwriter and guitarist. He was born on May 28, 1945, in Berkeley, California, USA. He started his musical career as a founder of the Blue Velvets band. This act also comprised Tom Fogerty, Doug Clifford and Stu Cook. He gained popularity in the late 1970s with his breakthrough first album entitled The Blue Ridge Rangers which reached number 47 on the Billboard 200. The album's singles were "Somewhere Listening (For My Name)", "You're the Reason", "Jambalaya (On the Bayou)" and "She Thinks I Still Care".
