June Carter (full name Valerie June Carter Cash) (June 23, 1929 – May 15, 2003) was an American actress, singer and songwriter. She was born in Scott County, Virginia, USA and died at the age of 73 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. She is known as the wife of famous country musician Johnny Cash. He made a proposal during the live performance in London, Ontario, Canada. They got together Grammy Award for the song Jackson in 1967.
