Biography

German pop singer Lena Meyer-Landrut comes from Hannover, Germany. She was born on May 23, 1991 in a diplomatic family. Her grandfather was Western Germany ambassador in the Soviet Union. She was growing up with a deep love of singing. She was doing ballet and later modern dances including hip-hop and jazz dance. She rose to the national fame after winning the contest “Our Star for Olso”. The winner was to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway. Meyer-Landrut won the Eurovision singing her song “Satellite”. The song is a single from her debut studio album My Cassette Player. It was released in 2010 and has become double Platinum in Germany.
