Biography

American acoustic guitarist Leo Kottke comes from Athens, Georgia. He was born on September 11, 1945.Kottke is one of the most famous acoustic guitar innovative players. He has invented his own style of fingerpicking appeared under the influence of jazz, blues, and folk music. He overcame severe obstacles that could stop his career. Partial loss of hearing and problems with tendon could make other people to forget about playing guitar. However, Kottke still continues performing. He began his career in 1969 releasing a debut album 6- and 12 String Guitar. During his long career, he has released 23 studio albums. At the beginning, he was creating only instrumental music, but later he became writing songs showing his baritone voice.
