Lil Boosie (birth name Torrence Hatch) is an American rapper. He was born on November 14, 1983, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. In 2002, joined growing record label Trill Entertainment which was backed by the late Pimp C of UGK. He quickly gained popularity in 2006 with his breakthrough first album, Bad Azz, which spawned the hit singles, "Zoom" (Feat. Yung Joc), "Soft to Hard" (Feat. Foxx & Big Head), "Exciting" (Feat. Webbie) and "My Struggle". The album's first single, "Zoom", was written by J. "Mouse" Allen, J. Robinson, and T. Hatch. This single reached number 25 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and 14 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. The video had heavy rotation on BET and had been on 106 & Park peaking at number 1 on the top 10 chart. The video featured Yung Joc's dance "The Joc-In".
