Biography

Los Lobos is an American alternative rock, pop rock and power pop band that was formed in East Los Angeles, California, in 1973. The band's current line-up consists of David Hidalgo (Vocals, Guitar, Accordion, Fiddle, Requinto jarocho), Louie Pérez (Vocals, Guitar, Drums, Jarana huasteca), Cesar Rosas (Vocals, Guitar, Bajo Sexto), Conrad Lozano (Vocals, Bass, Guitarron) and Steve Berlin (Keyboards, Horns). They emerged on the American alternative rock scene in the mid-1970 with their debut EP How Will the Wolf Survive?, which was praised by critics and brought the band a contract with Pan American Ent. record label. In 2004, they released their most commercially successful album, The Ride, which produced the hit singles, "Wreck of the Carlos Rey" (featuring Richard Thompson), "A Matter of Time" (featuring Elvis Costello), "Someday" (featuring Mavis Staples) and "La Venganza de Los Pelados" (featuring Café Tacuba).
