American rock, folk and country singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams was born on January 26, 1953 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the United States. She began her career in the late 1970 releasing her debut album Ramblin’ which consisted of blues and country covers. The next record effort contained her own material and was titled Happy Woman Blues. However, none of her albums was noticed by the public or media. She continued releasing albums and giving live shows but her first success was as a songwriter. Her song “Passionate Kisses” was performed by Mary Chopin Carpenter (cover of that song from Williams’ album Lucinda Williams). The song earned Williams her first Grammy Award in the nomination Best Country Song. Her next big success happened in 1998 when she released her album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. This album also received Grammy Award. From our site, you can download this album by Lucinda Williams in mp3.
